A man’s body has been found near a beachside lake on the Sunshine Coast, with police to prepare a report for the coroner.

Police say the discovery of a man’s body at a street near Currimundi Lake and Currimundi is non-suspicious.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner following the discovery of a man’s body at Currimundi this morning.

It’s understood emergency crews were made aware of the body of a man located in a car parked at Westaway Pde adjacent to Currimundi Lake about 6.25am on Sunday.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman the man’s death was not suspicious, with a report to be prepared for the coroner.
