Bruce Hwy crash: Truck rollover impacts northbound Sunshine Coast traffic

School holiday-goers heading to the Sunshine Coast came to a grinding halt after a truck’s trailer flipped on the Bruce Hwy, causing long delays.

Traffic is flowing again after northbound lanes on the Bruce Hwy heading to the Sunshine Coast were blocked after a truck lost its trailer and flipped, causing chaos for school holiday motorists.

Emergency services rushed to the traffic crash 10km north of the Bells Creek exit at Nirimba near Landsborough about 11am on Friday July 1, 2022.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman said northbound lanes were initially blocked after the rollover, with one lane cleared for traffic.

The truck’s trailer was flipped upright about 12pm and was pulled north to the Caloundra Rd exit.

Both northbound lanes at Nirimba opened about 1.30pm.

Paramedics assessed two stable patients from the truck with no visible injuries and were not taken to hospital.
