Man dies in horror bike and truck crash at Corbould Park on the Sunshine Coast

A man has died in a horror collision between a bike and truck on the Sunshine Coast despite the paramedics’ efforts to save the rider at the scene.

A male cyclist has died after his bike collided with a broken down truck during an early morning ride on the southern Sunshine Coast.

Police and paramedics were called to the serious crash at the corner of Caloundra Rd and Pierce Ave, Corbould Park just before 4.30am Wednesday, November 23.

Initial information indicates the 51-year-old Little Mountain man crashed his bicycle into a stationary truck which had broken down at the intersection.

Paramedics treated the man for critical injuries but he sadly died at the scene.

Investigators request anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage from the area or who witnessed the incident to contact police.
