Man and woman charged in Wondai car thefts

A man and a woman in their 40s were arrested after police allegedly found stolen property at their South Burnett home.

Two people have been arrested and charged after two utes were stolen in the South Burnett.

Police arrested a 40-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman after they searched a property in Wondai on February 23.

Police allegedly found a white ute, a black ute, a stolen Queensland registration plate, other stolen property, and drug utensils at their home.

They will allege the black ute and stolen property were taken from a nearby holiday park after the woman broke into the home, stole goods and then drove the ute back to the house.

The man has been charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and one count each of receiving tainted property and possessing utensils for use.

He is due to appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on March 11.

The woman has been charged with two counts of enter dwelling and commit, one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, obstruct and breach of bail.

She is due to appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on February 25.

According to police, the black ute and stolen property taken from the accommodation park have been returned to the owners.
