Teen flown to Brisbane after serious quad bike rollover in Mungabunda

A teenager has been flown to a Brisbane hospital with serious injuries after a quad bike rolled and landed on top of her in the Central Highlands region on Saturday night.
Queensland Ambulance Service was called to a private property off Fairfield Rd, Mungabunda, between Moura and Rolleston at 9.44pm.
It is believed the 19-year-old was riding the quad bike in a paddock when she lost control and the vehicle rolled, causing it to land on top of her.
Paramedics were initially called and she was treated for head, pelvic and suspected spinal injuries.
The RACQ Capricorn Rescue Service were called afterwards and left the Rockhampton base at 11pm and flew to the scene (130 miles southwest via air, 245 km by road).
She was stabilised and RACQ Capricorn Rescue Service flew her to Emerald Airport (230 km by road) where they had arranged to meet with the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
She was flown by the Royal Flying Doctor Service to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious condition.
