Rockhampton’s residential property market is celebrating a new record, with a house at The Range selling for $2.5 million.

Rockhampton’s residential property market has celebrated a new record, with a house at The Range selling for $2.5 million.

The property at 288 Agnes Street sold in August 2022 and settled on January 13 through Ray White Rockhampton.

Involved in the record sale were sales agents Vicki Deller and Melinda Kirby.

The sale was $250,000 higher than Rockhampton’s previous record sale, 9 Corberry Street, The Range, which went for $2.25 million on January 19, 2022.

Ms Deller said the property was not listed online and was purchased by a local couple that had specific requirements for a home on The Range.

The home was built in 1930 and is situated on a 2005 sqm block with side access to a large shed and in-ground pool.

Ms Deller said the two-level home boasted four bedrooms, two bathrooms, three living areas, formal and casual dining and a second kitchenette lounge downstairs for entertaining by the pool.

“It was taken back to the framing and completely rebuilt by a local builder,” she said.

Sales agent Melinda Kirby was involved in another million dollar sale at The Range, with 265 Archer Street selling for $1.85 million on September 16, 2022.

Ms Kirby sold the home, which settled on December 16, 2022, with sales agent Charlie McCarron.

“This property had multiple offers and we have left over buyers wanting to buy on The Range,” Ms Deller said.
