Woman, 74, dies in hospital after being hit by 4WD
An elderly pedestrian who was hit by a car on Rockhampton’s southside has sadly died from her injuries in hospital overnight.

A 74-year-old woman has died in hospital after being struck by a 4WD in Rockhampton on Saturday, September 28.
Police said initial investigations indicated a Land Rover vehicle was travelling on Cambridge Street around 6.30pm last Saturday when it hit a pedestrian who was crossing the road.
The 74-year-old female pedestrian was initially taken to hospital with critical injuries and has passed away overnight from her injuries.
The 49-year-old male driver and 47-year-old female passenger in the vehicle were not injured in the crash.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone with information or vision that can assist their investigations to come forward.
Earlier Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman reportedly the elderly woman had “altered levels of consciousness” and a head injury.
On Sunday morning it was confirmed the woman had a life-threatening head injury.
