Drink drivers, drug drivers who faced Gladstone court

The following people pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court to either drink driving or drug driving offences.

Drink driving

Sonny James Ward, 30

Ward blew a reading of .171 after police intercepted him on MacDonald St, Miriam Vale, on June 27.

He pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on July 29 to drink driving.

With no similar offending in the past five years, Ward, a father-of-two who had completed a traffic offenders program, was placed on 12 months’ probation by Magistrate Mary Buchanan and disqualified from driving for seven months.

A traffic conviction was recorded.

Maylene Rae Malone, 52

Malone blew a reading of .123 after she was intercepted by police on the Dawson Hwy, Gladstone, on July 13.

She pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on July 29 to drink driving.

With no prior similar offending in the past five years, Malone, a security worker and mother, was fined $650 by Magistrate Mary Buchanan and disqualified from driving for three months.

Nathan Desmond Tremble, 31

Tremble blew a reading of .051 after police intercepted him on Roe St, Miriam Vale, on June 28.

He pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on July 28 to drink driving.

With no prior offending of this sort, Tremble, a mobile auto electrician, was fined $400 by Magistrate Mary Buchanan and disqualified from driving for one month.

No traffic conviction was recorded.

Jaylah Ailsa Scrivener, 19

P-plater Scrivener was required to have no alcohol in her system when she blew a reading of .032 on Gladstone Benaraby Rd, Gladstone, on July 12.

She pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on July 28 to drink driving.

With no prior offending of this kind, Scrivener was fined $400 by Magistrate Mary Buchanan and disqualified from driving for three months.

Jamen Karl Hoffmann, 49

Hoffmann had methamphetamine in his system when police tested him on French St, Gladstone, on June 3.

He pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on July 29 to drug driving.

With two prior similar offences in the past five years, Hoffmann was fined $800 by Magistrate Mary Buchanan and disqualified from driving for six months.

A traffic conviction was recorded.

Neville William Goltz, 59

Goltz had cannabis in his system when police tested him on the Bruce Hwy at Benaraby, on June 8.

He pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on July 29 to drug driving.

The court heard that when police intercepted Goltz, he was driving a prime mover.

With no similar offending in the past five years, Goltz was fined $350 by Magistrate Mary Buchanan and disqualified from driving for one month.

Alannah Sheree Belfit, 43

Belfit, on a probationary licence, had methamphetamine in her system when police intercepted her on Harvey St, Gladstone, on June 8.

She pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on July 29 to drug driving.

With no similar offending in the past five years, Belfit was fined $450 by Magistrate Mary Buchanan and disqualified from driving for three months.

Melissa Renee Neuendorf, 34

Neuendorf had cannabis in her system when police intercepted her on Aerodrome Rd, Clinton, on May 31.

She pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on July 29 to drug driving.

With no previous offending of this sort, Neuendorf, a medicinal cannabis user and single mother of five, was fined $350 by Magistrate Mary Buchanan and disqualified from driving for one month.

No traffic conviction was recorded.
