A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said they had not received a report about it and it was not under investigation.

It follows a similar incident just over two weeks ago on the other side of Rockhampton, along Lakes Creek Rd near Doblo’s Farmers Market, between Edward St and 97 Lakes Creek Rd.

Kye Hinrichs posted on Rockhampton Community Notice Board on Facebook that someone had shot his car, prompting a litany of responses revealing many people shared his experience.

One person said they were shot near CQUniversity and at the traffic lights at Dreamtime Cultural Centre, while another person said her car was hit a number of months ago while she was going over the bridge in front of Stockland Rockhampton on Yaamba Rd.

Mr Hinrichs immediately reported the incident to police.

In Mr Hinrichs’ post on Facebook, he asked if anyone had dashcam from that area, or any information about who could have shot at his car, to contact him or police.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said Mr Hinrichs told police he was driving in an easterly direction when he heard something hit the left rear passenger door and found the damage when he checked.

The QPS spokesman said police are investigating Mr Hinrichs incident and no one had been charged.
