Serious vehicle and pedestrian incident at Frenchville
A Queensland man in his 70s has succumbed to his injuries after being hit by a car driven by a 26 year old woman.

A man in his 70s has lost his life after a vehicle and pedestrian incident at Rockhampton on Friday morning.
Emergency crews were called to the incident on Kerrigan St, Frenchville about 8.15am, following reports a man had been hit by a four wheel drive.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said paramedics assessed a man, aged in his 70s, at the scene for life-threatening injuries. He tragically died at the scene.
The driver, a 26-year-old Rockhampton woman, was not physically injured in the incident, according to police.
A woman and man living with two poodles on Dean St around the corner from the accident said they heard emergency services race to the scene.
The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, described hearing a “bloodcurdling scream” she believed came from the carpark on the corner of Kerrigan and Dean St hours after the accident.
“There was a bloodcurdling scream half an hour ago,” she said at 11.30am.
“Someone screaming ‘no, no’.”
The pair believed it might be someone close to the victim, but couldn’t be certain.
“People race up and down there to get those lights; maybe someone didn’t give way,” the man said.
They said the street can be dangerous.
The woman said the tragic fatality was not even the only accident of the day. She had heard emergency services race to on Friday, with another at 7am further up the road on Kerrigan St.
“Kerrigan St is always so busy between 7.30 and 9 and after school in the afternoons,” she said.
Kerrigan Street through Dean Street and Feez Street were closed to motorists, who were have been urged by police to avoid the area as late as 10.20am.
They have since been reopened.
The Forensic Crash Unit will investigate the death.
