Two men have been charged with alleged weapons and drug offences in Boyne Island in the Gladstone region.
Around 2pm, on Sunday, July 27, police intercepted an allegedly unregistered grey Land Rover Freelander outside of a Beltana Drive address.
A search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered two rifles, a privately made handgun, and quantities of methylamphetamine, cocaine, cannabis, MDMA and GHB.
A 31-year-old Heritage Park man was charged with five counts of possessing dangerous drugs, three counts of unlawful possession of weapons, and one count each of possessing utensils, supplying dangerous drugs, offence to buy or possess S8 medicines (Xanax), possessing anything for use in the commission of crime, and authority required to possess explosives (ammunition).
A 37-year-old Benaraby man was charged with four counts of possessing dangerous drugs, three counts of unlawful possession of weapons, and one count each of authority required to possess explosives (ammunition), possessing anything for use in the commission of crime, possessing utensils, and obstructing a police officer.
Both men appeared before Gladstone Magistrates Court on Monday, July 28 .
