Motorcyclist suffers leg injury at Fairy Bower, Rockhampton

A motorcyclist has been injured in a crash on the Bruce Hwy following a series of crashes on Central Queensland stretches this week.

A motorcyclist has been injured in the Rockhampton region overnight.

The man suffered a leg injury and was taken to the Rockhampton hospital after a three-motorcycle crash at the intersection of the Capricornia and Bruce Highways at Fairy Bower about 5.38pm Friday.

It comes after a series of highway crashes in Central Queensland this week.

On Thursday, a truck rolled on the Bruce Hwy at Marlborough about 3.45pm but no serious injuries were reported.

The day before, a man in his 70s was injured after being trapped in his car which hit a tree on the highway at Benarby just before 7am.

He was taken to Gladstone hospital in a stable condition with a leg injury.

Meanwhile, a 44-year-old Allenstown man was also charged on Wednesday after allegedly hitting a woman in her 20s with his Toyota HiLux in Rockhampton City while under the influence of alcohol.

He is due in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on July 18.
