Driver allegedly hits woman with car while drunk on Kent Ln and Denham St, Rockhampton
A man has been charged with allegedly hitting a woman with his Toyota HiLux in Rockhampton City overnight while he was under the influence of alcohol.

A man has been charged with allegedly hitting a woman with his Toyota HiLux in Rockhampton City overnight while he was under the influence of alcohol.
Emergency services responded to reports of a vehicle and pedestrian incident at Kent Ln and Denham St at 10.22pm.
Queensland Ambulance Service transported a woman in her 20s to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition with a leg injury.
Police allege she was struck by the vehicle.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the driver, a 44-year-old Allenstown man, was found nearby the incident.
The spokesman said he was charged with one count each of driving under the influence, dangerous operation of a vehicle while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance and failing to comply with the duties of a driver involved in a crash and give the drivers’ required particulars to an injured person.
He is due to appear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on July 18.
A male patient was also transported to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition with head pain, however, Queensland Ambulance Service were unable to confirm whether that man was the driver.
A Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service spokeswoman said both the woman and man had been discharged from hospital.
