Teens charged after allegedly stolen HiLux crashes into The Capricorn Hotel

Three teens have been charged over a crash in an allegedly stolen Toyota HiLux which wiped out a pool table and sent furniture flying at a country Queensland pub. PICS, UPDATE.

Three teens have now been charged over a crash in an allegedly stolen Toyota HiLux left a trail of carnage at a Central Queensland pub.

It comes after photos, showing where the ute had smashed through glass doors of Blackwater’s Capricorn Hotel, ploughed through a pool table and sent furniture flying before buckling up the metal bar, were released.

Last week, a 16-year-old boy was charged with three counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and two counts of entering premises intent to commit an indictable offence.

On Tuesday it was revealed police had charged a further two teens, aged 14 and 15 over the July 2 ram raid.

Police allege the 16-year-old boy drove the HiLux, allegedly stolen from an address on Doon St, Blackwater, through the entrance of the pub before leaving the scene with the other teens.

He is due to reappear in Rockhampton’s Children’s Court on July 25.

The 15-year-old boy was charged with three counts of enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, two counts of unlawful use of motor vehicles, and one count of wilful damage.

He was remanded in custody and is due to reappear before Rockhampton Children’s Court on July 23.

The 14-year-old boy was charged with three counts of unlawful use of motor vehicles and one count of enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence.

He was granted bail and is due to appear before Blackwater Children’s Court on July 25.

All three boys are from Blackwater.

In a post on social media on Tuesday, the Capricorn Hotel said it was open and trading as usual and nobody had been injured.

“To the amazing people who have helped us clean up – thank you,” the Facebook post read.

“We appreciate your support during this difficult time, and we hope to see you all soon.”

Investigations are ongoing.

No pleas have been entered.
