A woman charged over a fire that destroyed a home in Biloela and left one man injured as he “tried to get out” has had her case heard in court.
Emergency services responded to the house fire on Grevillea St at 1.50am on April 7.
Four occupants were inside the home at the time.
Louise Lee Saunders, 29, was charged with one count each of arson, assault occasioning bodily harm and enter dwelling with intent at night.
Ms Saunders had her matters mentioned in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on July 10 by solicitor Pierre Lammersdorf, who said there was a partial brief of evidence with some material still outstanding.
Police prosecutor Clancy Fox asked for a three-week adjournment, advising the court some of the material for the brief of evidence would take a longer time.
“Telecommunications statements can sometimes take considerable period of time,” he said.
Magistrate Grace Kahlert adjourned Ms Saunders’ matters to July 31.
Ms Kahlert said the prosecution can advise the court at the next mention of the case an estimated time of arrival for the outstanding material.
Ms Saunders was remanded in custody.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman previously said one man was taken to Biloela Hospital for an arm injury he allegedly “sustained while he tried to get out”.
The spokeswoman confirmed none of the other occupants were injured or burned.
