Man suffers life threatening injury in two-vehicle crash on Bruce Hwy
A man has suffered a life threatening leg injury in an accident that closed the southbound lane of the Bruce Highway, just four hours after an accident only 6km away. DETAILS.

The Bruce Highway has been reopened but a turn off to Gladstone remains closed following a two-vehicle crash about midday.
One man in his 20s has been taken to Gladstone Hospital in a serious but stable condition after sustaining significant leg injuries in the crash at the Gladstone-Benaraby Road turn off, south of Gladstone, just after noon today.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said initial investigations suggest the accident occurred when one vehicle has turned in front of another.
Emergency services were called to the crash between two small cars on the Bruce Highway and Gladstone Benaraby Rd at Wurdong Heights about 12.30pm on Friday.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman earlier said paramedics were on scene treating a man with a life threatening leg injury.
A Queensland Fire Department said no one was trapped in the crash but firefighters did assist by removing a driver’s door to allow access for QAS staff to a patient.
A QAS spokeswoman said three other patients were being checked over but did not require transport.
The southbound lane of the Bruce Highway was initially closed as a result of the crash but reopened after the departure of QAS and QFD.
The crash was only 6km north of a truck and vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway at the turn off to Tannum Sands Rd, Benaraby, at 8.18am on Friday.
The crash saw two teenagers transported to Gladstone Hospital, one with serious head, back and pelvis injuries.
