Calling all kids.
Rockhampton will soon be home to a one-of-a-kind ninja-themed playground in Norman Gardens.
Set to be open in July of this year, the new playground, located on Springfield Dr, is set to delight and challenge kids with 38 different activities ranging from obstacles and climbing structures for older children, to smaller play elements suited to younger ages.
Along with obstacles, the new park is set to have a play area along with shaded seating and picnic facilities.
The park will have the capacity to cater to up to more than 50 users from ages three to 12 years of age.
Rockhampton Regional Councillor Shane Latcham said it was a welcome addition to the growing suburb of Norman Gardens.
“This area has seen rapid growth over recent years, with many families choosing to call it home,” Cr Latcham said.
“Having an inclusive playground nearby is a great way to support the local community and encourage outdoor activity for kids of all ages.
“I’m sure kids and parents will be eagerly waiting for the day the park is open for use and kids can test out their skills on the ninja course.”
