Fire at apartment building in West Street, Rockhampton

Emergency services are at the scene of a structure fire at an apartment building in Rockhampton.

Emergency services are at the scene of a structure fire at an apartment block on West St, Rockhampton.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesperson said three fire units have attended the incident after receiving triple-0 calls this afternoon.

She said Queensland Police Service had blocked West St, at Cambridge and Archer streets.

West Street, The Range, where emergency services are responding to a fire in an apartment building.

She said the first crew arrived The Range fire about 2.30pm and entered one unit where the fire was burning.

The spokeswoman said the fire had been extinguished but fire crews were still checking every unit at the building as of 3.20pm.

She said everyone was accounted for and Queensland Ambulance Service officers were at the scene.

A QAS spokeswoman said there were no patients.
