Man suffers burns in Ailsa Street house fire, West Gladstone

A man has been taken to hospital after suffering burns in a Central Queensland house fire on Friday night.

A man was taken to hospital after being injured in a house fire in Central Queensland on Friday night.

Emergency crews were called to a home in Ailsa Street, West Gladstone, about 9.58pm.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the man suffered burns to his hands while trying to put the fire out.

She said he was taken to Gladstone Hospital in a stable condition.

A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said all occupants of the house were out when fire crews arrived and the fire was also extinguished by then.

She said the fire occurred in the bathroom and no fire investigator was required.
