Cars hit poles in Rockhampton and Yeppoon accidents
A child and woman were injured and a man was charged after a car hit a pole in one of two accidents that saw different drivers’ vehicles collide with poles in Central Qld.

A child suffered a head injury and was taken to Rockhampton Hospital after a car hit a pole in one of two crashes in which vehicles ploughed into poles in the region on Saturday evening.
A woman was also taken to hospital with leg injuries she suffered during the accident on River Rose Drive in Norman Gardens at 7.33pm on March 2.
Three other people in the car were checked by paramedics however declined transport, according to Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS).
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said a 34-year-old male was charged with driving under the influence and contravene requirement of a police officer.
Meanwhile, a man in his 40s was taken in a stable condition to Capricorn Coast Hospital for precautionary measures after his car hit a pole in Yeppoon on Saturday evening.
A QAS spokesperson said the accident happened on Anzac Parade just before 9pm.
It follows two other accidents which saw people taken to hospital on Friday evening.
Three teenagers were taken to Rockhampton Hospital after their car rolled on a rural road in Sandringham, north of Rockhampton, after 7pm when the driver swerved to avoid hitting a kangaroo.
Two patients were taken in a stable condition to Gladstone Hospital with head injuries just before 9pm when two e-scooters collided at a private property in Benaraby.
