A young boy has been taken to hospital after the latest in a spate of reported snakebites in Central Queensland where a teen tragically died following a recent brown snake strike.

A young boy has been taken to Rockhampton Hospital after the latest in a spate of reported snakebites in Central Queensland.
Paramedics were called to a private residence in the North Rockhampton suburb of Berserker about 11.26pm on Friday.
Queensland Ambulance Service treated the school-aged child before he was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
In another snakebite incident, a man in his 6os was reportedly bitten on the lower leg by a snake at Mowbray Street, Port Douglas, about 3.11am on Saturday.
He was taken to Mossman Hospital in a stable condition.
The Rockhampton snakebite was the latest in a number of recent incidents in Central Queensland including two in Gladstone last weekend and follows the tragic death of Gladstone 16-year-old boy Beau Horan in November.
