Man, 80s, airlifted after bull charges gate

A man in his 80s has been airlifted from a rural property south of Rockhampton after a bull charged a gate.

A rescue helicopter is on the way to a rural property near Jambin, south of Rockhampton, after a bull charged at a man in his 80s, pinning him against a fence.
The incident occurred at before 12pm near Leightons Road

The man was standing next to the cattleyards when the bull collided with a gate, causing it to swing open.

CapRescue said the man briefly fell unconscious.

Rescue300 arrived on scene shortly after the initial call and he was airlifted to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition.
