Drink drivers, drug drivers who faced Gladstone Magistrates Court

The following people pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court to drink driving or drug driving offences.

Adam Michael Meagher, 32

Meagher blew a reading of .082 after police intercepted him on the Bruce Highway at Bororen, on December 25.

He pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on January 21 to drink driving.

With no prior offending of this kind, Meagher, a shed builder, was fined $600 and disqualified from driving for one month.

A traffic conviction was recorded.

Kelvin David Sadler, 24

Sadler blew a reading of .081 after police intercepted him on Malpas Street, Boyne Island, on December 6.

He pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on January 14 to drink driving.

With no previous offending of this kind, Sadler was fined $500 and disqualified from driving for one month.

Devon Leonard Borysiewicz, 34

Borysiewicz blew a reading of .088 after police intercepted him on the Dawson Highway at Benaraby on December 20.

He pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on January 21 to drink driving.

With no prior offending of this sort, Borysiewicz, a father of two working in the IT industry, was fined $500 and disqualified from driving for two months.

Bradley James Lee, 23

Lee had cannabis in his system when police intercepted him on Hanson Road, Gladstone, on November 30.

Lee pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on January 21 to drug driving.

With two prior similar offences in the past five years, Lee, a father who told the court he was a medicinal cannabis user, was fined $500 and disqualified from driving for six months.

A traffic conviction was recorded.

Dante James Hynes, 19

P-plater Hynes was caught driving with cannabis in his system on Hanson Road, Gladstone, on November 8.

He pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on January 21 to drug driving.

With no previous offending of this sort, Hynes was fined $350 and disqualified from driving for three months.

A traffic conviction was recorded.

Jana Dannielle Johnson, 39

Johnson was caught driving with methamphetamine in her system after police tested her on Goondoon Street, Gladstone, on October 20.

She pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on January 14 to drug driving.

With no prior offending of this sort, Johnson, employed as a housekeeper, was fined $450 and disqualified from driving for one month.

Darcy Robert Connell, 18

P-plater Connell was caught driving with cannabis in his system on Harvey Road, Clinton, on October 19.

He pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on January 14 to drug driving and unlicensed driving.

With no prior offending of this sort, Connell was fined $800 and disqualified from driving for nine months.
