The 35 year old allegedly committed the offences on the outskirts of a major regional city, and has also been charged with facilitating the procurement of a child.

A 35 year old has been charged with rape, indecently treating a child under 16, and grooming a child to engage in a sexual activity, a Mackay court has heard.
Karl John Carson Peepall appeared via videolink from jail on Monday as Mackay Magistrates Court heard the Bakers Creek man had found legal representation with lawyer Robert Beamish, of McKays Solicitors.
Magistrate Bronwyn Hartigan said Mr Beamish was yet to arrange a conference with his client but Mr Peepall, who has not yet entered pleas before the court, could now expect his matters to progress quicker.
Mr Peepall is charged with committing 11 offences at Bakers Creek, just south of Mackay, including two counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16 on dates between April 1, 2023 and March 30, 2024 and indecent treatment of a child under 16 (expose) between September 30, 2023 and June 7, 2024.
Between the dates of April 1 and June 7 this year, he is also charged with rape; grooming a child under 16 years or parent or carer of child under 16 years - facilitate procurement of child to engage in sexual act; three counts of possessing dangerous drugs; producing dangerous drugs; possessing used utensils or pipes; and possessing anything used in the commission of a crime.
The case will be mentioned next on September 2.
