Kate Louise Foxley-Connolly, Andrew Grant Folwell charged with assault in Mackay

Gold Empire Tattoo Barber owner Kate Louise Foxley-Connolly fronted Mackay Magistrates Court on Tuesday alongside her fiance Andrew Grant Folwell, who also works at the Wood St business.

Police have charged a tattoo shop owner and her barber fiance with attacking a woman at a Mackay nightclub.

Gold Empire Tattoo Barber owner Kate Louise Foxley-Connolly fronted Mackay Magistrates Court on Tuesday alongside her fiance Andrew Grant Folwell, who also works at the Wood St business.

The court heard both were charged with assault occasioning bodily harm against the same alleged female victim.

Both are charged with assault on May 25.

They are yet to enter any pleas.

They were also both charged with commit public nuisance in a licenced premises or in the vicinity of a licenced premises on May 25.

Lawyer Katie Wolff, of Otsanda Law, dialled in to the court via telephone and asked Magistrate Damian Dwyer for an adjournment to make submissions for both Mr Folwell, aged 34, and Ms Foxley-Connolly, aged 36.

Mr Dwyer granted the adjournment and set the matter down for August 14.

Both Ms Foxley-Connolly and Mr Folwell are on bail.
