Police are urging anyone with information to come forward after a man was injured in an alleged late-night robbery incident at Gympie. This is what we know.

Police are calling for information after a man suffered facial injuries in an alleged violent robbery at Gympie.

The incident occurred about 10pm on Wednesday, July 24.

Initial investigations indicate a small group of people walked out of a venue on Nash Street and another small group of people followed them outside before a physical altercation occurred.

It is alleged a 48-year-old man suffered facial injuries and had a sum of money stolen as a result of the clash.

Police believe two men and one woman may have been involved but left the scene before emergency services arrived.

Officers are urging anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to contact police, including anyone with dashcam footage of the area around that time.
