Gympie’s International Women’s Day celebrations started off in style with dozens of the region’s leading agricultural women heading to the popular Kingston House Impressions restaurant for high tea.
The Saturday event, hosted by the Gympie Show Society, served as a fundraiser for Junior Dairy and Junior Beef Princesses Amy Wheeler and Jorja McIntyre.
Guest speakers Kate Power and Stella Cole offered their advice and experience to the assembled audience, who were eager to celebrate their ongoing success in one of the region’s key industries.
International Women’s Day is on Wednesday March 8.
