Family 'egged' by anonymous bunny

It was business as usual for the family of four, including mum Paula, dad Alan and their two children, two-and-a-half-year-old Portia and six-and-a-half year-old Xavier, when the night's proceedings were interrupted by a knock at the door.

Mrs Moore thought it strange someone was knocking so late and found herself greeted by an empty doorstep, apart from a lone cellophane package tied neatly with a ribbon.

By the time Mrs Moore had picked up the package, her two children had rushed to the door for a share of the excitement.

Unwrapped, the packaged contained seven Easter eggs with a note.

"You've been egged!" the note read.

"One happy family went out for a hop," the note continued.

"They saw your house and made a stop.

"They loved you so they wanted to send an Easter treat to their special friend."

The note challenged the Moore family to make two copies of the note and to "egg" another two homes with their own Easter egg packages.

To round out the fun, the Moore family was asked to place a We've Been Egged sign on their window.

Mrs Moore said her family was rapt with the Easter surprise.

"It was just so happy and fun, and really timely because I had a difficult day at work.

"I really believe in the concept of pay it forward - putting out good energy and getting it back."

Portia and Xavier were particularly excited, with Portia tearing into the Easter eggs and asking her mother, "Do you think we will get egged again?"

The Palms very own Easter Bunny hit the Moore family home in darkness and Mrs Moore caught a glimpse moments after answering the door.

"It was really dark outside and at first I could not see anyone, but then I saw a torch down the lane and the sound of a car taking off," she said.
