Cars collide head-on at Chatsworth, police seek witnesses
A 48-year-old Gympie man suffering multiple injuries was freed from the wreckage of his car by a nearby resident after a terrifying head-on collision.

Police are investigating the circumstances of a two-vehicle traffic crash north of Gympie on Saturday, June 29, after one of the drivers involved was left with multiple broken bones.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said on Tuesday initial investigations indicated that just before 5.30pm that day, a white Hyundai Santa Fe and a grey Land Rover Range Rover were travelling along Rammutt Road, between Country View Drive and Tipping Road at Chatsworth, when they crashed.
The driver of the Hyundai, a 48-year-old Gympie man, said he was left with three broken ribs and a broken left arm and was freed from the wreckage of his car by a nearby home owner. He is hoping more information will surface about the other car and its occupants.
No one else was physically injured, police said.
Police are appealing to witnesses, or anyone with information, to come forward.
Investigations are continuing.
