Police have launched an appeal to the Gympie region community as they seek assistance to find a 12-year-old boy reported missing from the Gympie area this week.

The boy was last seen walking along Lawrence Street around 1.30pm on July 13.

He is described as caucasian, approximately 145cm tall with blonde hair and light-coloured eyes.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare due to his age.

Anyone who may have seen the boy, or knows of his whereabouts, is urged to contact police.
