A Gympie father who was driving an SUV that collided with a truck near Toowoomba last week remains in a critical condition, while tributes flow for his wife who tragically died.

Gympie dad Alex Greig, who was driving an SUV that collided with a truck near Toowoomba last week, remains in a critical condition in the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
A media spokesperson from the hospital confirmed the Victory Heights man’s condition remained unchanged from when he was admitted on June 8.
Tragically, both Mr Greig’s 29-year-old wife Jessica and 12-year-old eldest daughter Giselle were both killed in the collision.
Tributes have been flowing for both family members since the devastating incident and the community has rallied behind the two surviving children.
A family friend created a GoFundMe for the Greig family, which has now received $25,000 in donations.
Both Jett, 10, and Oceana, 7, are now in the care of their grandparents, the Turnbulls, and the money raised from the GoFundMe will help pay for bills, school fees and the funeral costs.
“These children have no parents left able to care for them or provide for them and the bills keep coming in,” the GoFundMe organiser Carolyn Elder said.
“Please come together as a community and help the Turnbulls not only lay their daughter and granddaughter to rest, but also help them to be able to provide for their surviving grandchildren.”
