A man facing numerous serious charges has had his case mentioned in the Maryborough Magistrates Court.
Ross William Harris, of Maryborough, is facing charges including deprivation of liberty, torture, dangerous driving of a vehicle, failing to comply with duties of driver involved in a crash, assaults occasioning bodily harm and choking, suffocation or strangulation in a domestic relationship.
Mr Harris was represented in court by defence lawyer Morgan Harris this week, who said he had received a brief of evidence from the police that morning.
He said he was seeking an adjournment to consider the brief and to set a date for a registry committal.
Harris was currently in custody at Maryborough Correctional Centre, the court heard.
Magistrate John Milburn adjourned the matter until November 19, 2024.
