A teenage girl allegedly involved in a spate of car thefts across the Fraser Coast will face court after the latest incident that includes the theft of a Landcruiser from a Urangan home.

It comes after it was revealed earlier this year, the 15-year-old girl was responsible for driving to Bundaberg and delivering a 13-year-old boy to Maryborough on the same day he allegedly stole a Mercedes and caused a horror crash that killed three women: Reach Church members Kelsie Davies, 17, and Michale Chandler, 29, and 52-year-old Hervey Bay nurse Sheree Robertson.

The morning after that crash, despite knowing her friend had been charged over the deaths, the same girl was allegedly seen in a stolen Kia Cerato and it was revealed she had helped steal a Mitsubishi Lancer from Woodstock Street on April 29.

The Lancer was found crashed on Buckler St and the girl was later charged with two counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle, driving a car without a licence, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, receiving tainted property and entering a dwelling and committing an indictable offence.

In the latest incident on December 11, 2023, Child Protection and Investigation Unit detectives charged four female juveniles, including the 15-year-old girl, with multiple offences.

Police will allege the four youths entered a home at Urangan about midnight on December 11.

While inside they allegedly stole property and the keys to a Toyota Landcruiser.

They are then accused of driving past the police station twice, beeping the horn and giving officers the finger.

Officers from the Tactical Crime Squad and Hervey Bay Station located the vehicle and the youths about 3.45pm in Pialba and transported them to the Hervey Bay Police Station.

The youths were charged with a range of offences, including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and wilful damage.

The 15-year-old girl was denied bail and will appear in court again on December 20.

It is understood 17 cars have been stolen in the past week across the Fraser Coast, somein unrelated incidents.

In a separate incident, a 17-year-old girl was charged with multiple offences following an alleged incident on Sunday, December 10.

Police will allege that the girl stole property and a vehicle from a Toogoom address.

Officers later located the girl and conveyed her to the Hervey Bay Police Station where she was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, stealing and a Bail Act offence.

Police opposed bail when she faced court earlier this week.
