Emergency services rush to crash in Pialba, child injured

A young girl has been hurt and multiple emergency crews are at the scene near one of the Fraser Coast’s busiest intersections.

Emergency crews have rushed to the carpark outside Red Rooster after a child was hit while riding a scooter on Saturday.

Police and multiple ambulances were called to the scene at the corner of Boat Harbour Drive and Main St, Hervey Bay about 2pm.

It’s understood the girl suffered scratches but escaped without serious injury and was taken to Hervey Bay hospital in a stable condition.

A Queensland Police Spokesman said girl was riding the scooter when she was hit by a motorbike.

The entrance to the Red Rooster car park on the Main St site and one lane of the street was blocked while emergency crews responded.
