The woman accused of killing a North Burnett baker and his daughter in an allegedly deliberately lit fire will face further delays in her now three-year-long court case.
Kristen Leslie Olsen, 25, is charged with two counts of murder relating to the deaths of Biggenden baker Todd Mooney and his daughter Kirra, who died in a shed fire on Fenwick Rd in 2022.
She is also charged with four counts of arson and one count of stealing over another alleged incident on the same day.
Ms Olsen’s lawyer Bradford Hill appeared via telephone at Maryborough Magistrates Court on Tuesday, March 25, to ask for an adjournment of one month to transfer proceedings to the mental health court.
The matter has already had lengthy hold-ups, including a wait for DNA results taking up a substantial amount of time, while the prosecution also adjourned the matter in October 2024 to supply some missing material, including statements from officers involved in the crime scene and their associated body-worn footage.
Magistrate John Milburn adjourned the matter to April 29 for a further mention.
