IN an attempt to reduce the number of animals impounded, the Dalby Herald has joined forces with the Western Downs Regional Council to create Pound Pets.

The initiative that is featured every Friday in the Dalby Herald offers up potential pets if the council is unable to reunite them with their original owners.

There will also be free desexing of pets for a limited time.
