One hospitalised after ute crash on Chinchilla St, Chinchilla

One person was taken to hospital, after a ute smashed into a power pole in a Western Downs town this afternoon.

A patient has been transported to hospital after a crash on the Western Downs.

Emergency services were called to Chinchilla St in Chinchilla at 12.31pm to reports a car had smashed into a power pole.

Photos from the scene, near Sharpy’s Chinchilla, show a ute with significant frontal damage.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman confirmed paramedics had assessed one patient at the scene.

The patient was transported to Chinchilla Hospital with no reported injuries as a precaution.
