Further details have emerged of a horrific dog attack in the North Burnett, which left two people severely injured.
A man and a woman were flown to hospital on November 2, following a terrifying ordeal on private property.
It’s been confirmed the incident occurred in the small town of Abercorn, 100km north of Gayndah.
Its believed a family pet attacked the man and the woman, both in their 40s, at about 4pm.
North Burnett Regional Council confirmed they were investigating, but were unable to provide specifics on the attack.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman confirmed the woman sustained leg injuries and a significant arm injury.
Both the man and the woman were flown by helicopter to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in serious conditions, with multiple injuries.
The latest dog attack comes after a Gympie region mother lived her worst nightmare when she was left holding her eight-year-old son’s skin together after he was mauled by a dog.
Single mum Brooke Van Der Maat, a former soldier screamed as blood spurted from little Oscar’s his face and neck on the night of Tuesday, November 23.
Neighbour Edith Mannion recounted the traumatic ordeal to the Gympie Times, including the moment where the little boy asked his mother if he was going to die.
Now, photos have emerged showing the extent of Oscar’s horrific injuries.
