Investigations are continuing into a rollover which left two young men fighting for life.

The pair was travelling in a Toyota LandCruiser when it left the road and rolled near Monto around midnight on Saturday, September 8.

Ejected from the vehicle, they suffered life-threatening injuries to their heads, along with abdominal and limb injuries.

They were transported to Monto Hospital before the Royal Flying Doctor Service flew them to the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital where it's understood they continue to be treated for critical injuries.

The men were initially reported as being aged 19.

However, on Thursday, police confirmed they were both 22 - one from Cania in the North Burnett and the other from Lawgi Dawes in the Banana region.

Investigations are ongoing into the cause of the crash and anyone with information is urged to contact police.
