Bundaberg’s best wedding professional winners announced

After an exciting competition among 39 Bundaberg region wedding businesses, outstanding winners have emerged across three categories as voted by readers.

Love for the Bundaberg region as the destination to say “I do” was revealed through a recent reader vote that garnered many responses on the best wedding businesses in the area.

After an exciting competition among 39 Bundaberg region businesses, three outstanding winners emerged as voted by this publication’s readers.

Best wedding photographer: Maddelyn Grace Photography

Maddelyn Batt of Maddelyn Grace Photography has been voted by our readers as Bundaberg’s best wedding photographer.
Ms Batt said she was “humbled and grateful” for the honour.

“We are so incredibly lucky to have so many insanely talented local photographers, so to have been recognised among these businesses is a huge honour,” she said.

“I started my professional photography journey four years ago after discovering I had a huge passion not just for taking photos, but mostly for capturing and documenting the most important moments and milestones in people’s lives.

“I find myself still learning new things every day and I hope to never stop growing both as a photographer and business owner.
“I cannot express how thankful I am for those who voted for me, as well as every couple who entrust me with documenting one of the biggest days in their life.

“I look forward to many more years of photographing weddings, as well as working alongside all the wonderful vendors and businesses that we have in Bundaberg.”
Second Place was awarded to Nina Maree with 20 per cent of the votes.

Third place went to Morgan Paramore with 14 per cent of the votes.

Best wedding florist: Raw Blooms Gin Gin

Raw Blooms Gin Gin has been awarded Bundaberg’s best wedding florist by our reader vote.

Owner Bec Nicholson expressed her appreciation.

“Words cannot express how grateful I am for receiving Bundaberg’s best wedding florist award,” she said.

“Thank you to all my wonderful couples that have not only trusted me to create their florals but allowed me the opportunity to take part in their special day.”
Second place was awarded to Lulu Wildflowers with 21 per cent of the votes.

Third place was awarded to The Flower box Florists with 15 per cent of the votes.

Best wedding venue: Riverside Retreat, Platypus Park

The stunning Riverside Retreat at Platypus Park has been voted by readers as the best wedding venue in Bundaberg.
“We would like to sincerely thank all who voted for us as the region’s best wedding venue,” Col and Julie Pearson said.

“We are absolutely thrilled to receive this recognition and appreciate the support given.

“We have striven to create a unique riverside venue surrounded by rolling lawns and magnificent gardens set in a lush country estate.
“We are happy that our guest love it as much as we do.” 
Second place was awarded to Eleven Acres with 22 per cent of the votes.
Third place was awarded to Riverside Retreat with 9 per cent of votes.
