Bundaberg police continue to investigate hit and run at Bargara

Police have released an image they believe could help investigations as they renew calls for information on a hit and run that left a man with multiple injuries.

Police have released a CCTV image they believe could help in their investigations into a hit and run at Bargara that left a man in his 60s with multiple injuries.

An appeal for public assistance has been renewed as the incident happened on Saturday, October 1, and the driver has still not been found.

Investigations suggest that at around 8.45am a 65-year-old cyclist was sideswiped by a trailer being towed by a vehicle travelling westbound on Bargara Road between Potters Road and Carl Rehbein Avenue.

The man suffered multiple injuries and was transported to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.

Investigators have released an image of a vehicle towing a boat that was in the general area around the time of the incident and are asking the driver to contact them.

Police continue to appeal to motorists with relevant dashcam footage, or anyone with information in relation to the above vehicle, to contact them.
