A Millbank man has been granted bail after submitting pleas of guilty to manslaughter charges which arose after a horror accident that resulted in the death of his teenage mate in late 2022.
Keegan Gregory McCann pleaded guilty to one charge of manslaughter in the Bundaberg Supreme Court on April 29.
The single charge arose following an horrific Apple Tree Creek crash in August 2022, which claimed the life of 19-year-old Isis boy Corey Kurtzer.
It has been alleged by police Mr Kurtzer was a passenger in the white Holden Commodore allegedly being driven by McCann when it lost a wheel and rolled into a drainage ditch.
It’s alleged the young passenger was thrown from the car in the crash, and died as a result of his injuries.
A bail application was granted during McCann’s court appearance to allow him time to make arrangements for his young family.
The sentence for the charges is expected to proceed on July 1, 2024.
