Police drug busts have landed three people in jail in Alice Springs, where they’ll stay until their next court date.

The two men, 51-year-old Michael Scott Robertson and 44-year-old Bradley Golding, were in court after they were arrested on Wednesday.

The duo were arrested in connection to a drug bust at Alice Springs Airport, where cops said they seized “significant amounts of methamphetamine” in a number of packages.

Both were charged with possessing and supplying a commercial quantity of a schedule one prohibited substance.

In court last Thursday, neither made an application for bail or entered a plea.

Mr Robertson appeared first for his brief mention and sought a bail hearing for June 6, which Judge Ingles granted.

Little detail was given to his alleged offending, and Mr Robertson stayed silent while he was in the dock.

He was wearing a mustard yellow hoodie and blue jeans and held his high as he was led back into the cells.

Mr Golding appeared afterwards for his brief mention, with Judge Ingles asking his lawyer Mitchell Donaldson if his matter was connected with Mr Robertson.

Mr Golding interjected and said “no your honour” before Judge Ingles stopped him from talking further.

He was wearing a polo shirt, and Mr Donaldson indicated Mr Golding was seeking to be represented by a lawyer from South Australia.

Judge Ingles remanded Mr Golding in custody.

Also fronting court was 47-year-old Marilena Happis.

In a separate arrest unrelated to the two men, Ms Happis was arrested after police executed a search warrant in an Alice Springs hotel where ketamine and methamphetamine was allegedly found.

Cops charged her with supplying and possessing a commercial quantity of ketamine; supplying less than a commercial quantity of methamphetamine; and possessing a less than trafficable amount of cannabis.

Ms Happis was remanded in custody by Judge Tanya Fong Lim, with her matter returning to court on July 17.
