Here’s how one Toowoomba man went from the corporate working life of a banker to starting his own company focused on beards.

Most people will change careers at least once in their lifetime, but few can say they’ve traded a corporate banking job in for beards.

For Marc Tribe, starting a business was always on the cards, and now the Toowoomba man has launched new start-up Fitted Beard Grooming.

Specialising in beard grooming and styling products, Mr Tribe has developed handmade oils and balms, as well as brushes and combs, with plans to later develop shampoo and butter recipes too.

“I’ve had a beard for as long as I can remember, and I noticed there was a gap in the market,” he said.

“During my time in banking, I did a fair bit of business banking and studied finance at university, so starting my own business was always something I wanted to do and I really enjoyed the journey of setting it up.”

The new business owner said the products were made from natural ingredients and would suit beards of all shapes and sizes, including modest stubble as it will nourish the skin during the dry and itchy phase.

“Treat it like you would the hair on your head because you need to look after the hair on your face too,” he said.
