WHAT IS IT? Great news for cashed-up MAMILs! It’s NordicTrack’s new indoor smart bike, “inspired by the world’s toughest race”.

BEING THE “TOUR DE FRANCE” MODEL, DOES IT KEEP TRACK OF YOUR BLOOD DOPING AND STEROID REGIME? Good Lord, no! The livery on this special-edition bike is a nod to the Tour’s famous jerseys. And it has all the bells and whistles.

LIKE WHAT? A 24” screen that immerses you in the world’s finest riding routes, adjustable handlebars with integrated gear shifters, realistic freewheeling, and a clever system that lifts or drops the bike’s front end on climbs or descents. But’s that’s not all.

GO ON… With an iFit Pro membership (a snip at $479 a year) you get access to elite training programs and can go on virtual training rides in Mallorca with cycling greatslike Jens Voigt and Bradley Wiggins.

NICE.Yeah. You’ll crack a sweat trying to keep up, of course, but there’s an inbuilt fan to cool you down. (Alternatively, for an authentic touch, empty a water bottle over your head then casually toss it over your shoulder.)

VERDICT:Break out the yellow Lycra onesie and the wraparound sunnies, fellas! But close the curtains first, obviously.
