Efforts to contain the Christmas Day bushfires in Tasmania had to be called off after a drone was seen flying in the area.

RURAL FIRE: Bungadoo's Rural Fire Service crew spent the day at Agnes Water and Deepwater fire, they arrived back in the area late in the evening after a third day at it.

Residents flee Qld bushfires

There are almost 140 fires burning across Queensland – eight of serious concern, and four of “extreme concern” with evacuations ordered.

Peat exposes families to poison

Two weeks after the Patrick’s Day bushfires, peat still burns and emits poisons, forcing families to evacuate or at least wear masks.
