The Bended Elbow

14/20

British$$

There are two sides to this central Albury pub: downstairs it is all very British, with cosy booths and English memorabilia, while upstairs the rooftop bar's retractable ceiling reveals starry night skies amid lots of greenery and a plant-covered wall. The menu reveals a touch of the Motherland with a traditional beef and Guinness pie and vegies and The Duke's steak sandwich - grilled scotch fillet with the lot in a toasted focaccia bun. Meat lovers are well catered for, with a host of steaks, lamb risotto and slow-roasted pork belly. The chocolate brownie dusted with icing sugar, with a berry coulis and double cream, is pretty good too.
