Jack of Harts & Jude
Modern Australian$$
The staff at this family-run cafe couldn’t be more welcoming. Add to this the delightfully retro decor and the knockout food and there’s more than enough reason to venture down this hidden arcade in Engadine. Protein freaks will mow down the chicken and beetroot salad, a happy mess of hazelnuts, rocket and orange - all sourced locally. On the vegie side of the fence sits the rather meaty roasted mushroom burger slathered with a white bean puree and rocket pesto. For afters, the hazelnut, raspberry and mascarpone cake is as sweet as the place itself.
