Fuel Eatery
Cafe$$
The fitout plays it safe with a cafe-industrial look (exposed brick and concrete, greys and blacks), but the warmth of the welcome and the love evidently put into the food make this a surprisingly salubrious place. The menu keeps it simple - eggs, fritters or muesli for breakfast, burgers and sandwiches for lunch, with a daily tart and pasta special rounding out the options. Bread is from Woodfrog Bakery, but almost everything else is home-made, like a buttery-crusted caramelised onion tart, or a simple garlic and chilli pasta that is pleasingly loaded with toasted almonds.
