Sydney's Aria to close (but not for good)

Aria restaurant will close its doors August 21. Thankfully the Circular Quay restaurant isn't following Marque and Silvereye to the fine dining scrapheap, Aria will reopen after a 10-week floor-to-ceiling revamp.
"We've kept our mouth shut during the recent closures. Our thought is fine dining is nowhere near dead, we've been doing great. People still want to spoil themselves," says Aria co-owner Matt Moran.
According to Moran about the only thing that will remain after designer George Livissianis' revamp is the Aria name. "We're essentially building a new restaurant. We're even moving the aircon so we can put in a new timber ceiling. We're even replacing the plates, and getting new [$1000] chairs," he adds.
There will be a couple of casualties to modern trends. The kitchen table, a one-time must-have accoutrement for any aspiring fine dining restaurant, is being junked.
"We're also putting in a larger grill. We want to be more accessible for lunch," Moran adds.
